Spravato (esketamine) is an FDA-approved nasal-spray medication used, in combination with an oral antidepressant, for adults with treatment- resistant depression, depression that has not adequately responded to two or more trials of oral antidepressant therapy. It is administered under direct medical supervision in a REMS-certified setting because patients require monitoring during and after each dose.

What treatment looks like at our clinic

Eligibility begins with a careful psychiatric evaluation to confirm the diagnosis, review treatment history, and assess medical safety. If Spravato is appropriate, treatment follows the standard induction and maintenance schedule under FDA labeling. Each dosing visit happens at our clinic. After self-administering the nasal spray under supervision, patients are monitored for at least two hours before discharge with a ride home arranged.
