Pulmonary Care
Pulmonology in Las Vegas, NV
Pulmonology in Las Vegas is in short supply, and many adults wait months for an appointment while their symptoms continue. Our practice is structured for access. We protect new patient slots so most adults can be seen within a week or two, and we keep the diagnostic workup under one roof. If you have a cough that will not quit, you are short of breath walking from the parking lot, or your primary care doctor has asked for a specialist opinion, you do not need to wait.
Who this service is for
We see adults, 18 and over, with chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, asthma, interstitial lung disease, sleep disordered breathing, unexplained dyspnea, chronic cough, abnormal chest imaging found during another workup, and occupational lung disease. We are a frequent destination for federal and energy workers with accepted respiratory conditions under DOL/OWCP and DEEOIC.
Conditions we treat
- COPD, including spirometry confirmed disease, exacerbation prevention, and inhaler regimens
- Asthma in adults, including hard to control asthma and exercise induced symptoms
- Interstitial lung disease and other diffuse parenchymal lung disease
- Chronic cough lasting more than eight weeks
- Dyspnea on exertion when the cause is unclear
- Post exposure respiratory evaluation for workers, including beryllium, silica, asbestos, and irritant exposures
- Suspected obstructive sleep apnea, with referral coordination for sleep studies
- Abnormal chest x-ray or CT findings, including incidental nodules
What to expect at your first visit
Plan on about an hour. We take a detailed history that covers symptoms, triggers, occupational and environmental exposures, smoking history, and any prior testing. We perform a focused physical exam and, when clinically appropriate, run pulmonary function testing the same day in our on site lab. Labs and a 12 lead EKG are available without leaving the building. You will leave with a written diagnosis or differential, a treatment plan, and clear next steps. If chest imaging is needed and you do not already have it, we order it and review the result with you at the follow up.
In-house diagnostics
Our on site pulmonary function testing lab performs spirometry, lung volumes by helium dilution or plethysmography per study type, and diffusion capacity. Doing PFT in the same location as the clinic visit shortens the workup, lets us interpret results in the context of your exam, and avoids the schedule gaps that delay diagnosis. Routine labs and EKG are also done on site.
Federal and energy workers
If your respiratory condition is connected to federal employment, see our DOL OWCP page. For energy sector workers, including former Nevada Test Site personnel, see our DEEOIC, Energy Workers page.
Insurance and access
We accept most major insurance plans, OWCP, and DEEOIC. Humana and HPN are not accepted at this time. In office and telehealth follow ups are available for established patients. Se habla español.
