Federal Workers
DOL OWCP Federal Workers Comp in Las Vegas, NV
Las Vegas Medical and Wellness serves as a DOL doctor and OWCP provider in Nevada for federal employees who have been hurt on the job. Whether your claim is brand new or you have been receiving care for years, our multispecialty team manages the medical side of your case so you can focus on getting better. We are an OWCP provider, a federal workers comp physician group, and a treating clinic for postal workers, TSA officers, VA staff, Department of Defense employees, Bureau of Reclamation crews, and other federal agency personnel across the Las Vegas valley.
Who this service is for
We see adult federal employees, 18 and over, who have an accepted or pending claim through the Office of Workers' Compensation Programs. Common referrals include workplace falls, repetitive strain and orthopedic complaints requiring specialist coordination, respiratory exposures, hypertension and renal effects tied to work conditions, and psychological injuries such as work-related anxiety or post traumatic stress. If you are not sure whether your condition qualifies, call us and we will help you understand the next step.
Conditions and consultations we handle
- Occupational asthma, reactive airway disease, and post-exposure respiratory workups
- Hypertension, kidney function changes, and electrolyte disorders connected to work exposures
- Work-related depression, anxiety, and post traumatic stress, including medication management
- Chronic medical conditions complicated by an accepted federal injury
- Second opinion and consultative evaluations for ongoing OWCP claims
What to expect at your first visit
Your first appointment is a comprehensive evaluation that anchors the medical record for your claim. We review your accepted conditions, prior imaging, and outside specialist notes, then perform a focused physical exam. When the workup calls for it, we use our in-house diagnostics to keep everything in one place: pulmonary function testing for respiratory complaints, blood and urine labs for kidney, metabolic, and inflammatory questions, and a 12 lead EKG for cardiac screening. Most patients leave the first visit with a written plan, a clear list of next steps, and the OWCP paperwork already started.
Reporting, billing, and documentation
We complete the standard OWCP forms, including CA-16 authorization for treatment, CA-17 duty status, CA-20 attending physician report, and the periodic narrative reports your claims examiner expects. When impairment ratings are appropriate, our physicians produce documentation aligned with the relevant AMA Guides edition. Billing goes directly through OWCP, so covered visits have no out of pocket cost. For respiratory claims, the on site PFT lab shortens the cycle between evaluation and report.
Working with your specialists
DOL cases often touch multiple body systems. Because pulmonology, nephrology, internal medicine, and behavioral health all practice under one roof, we can coordinate care without sending you to four different clinics. If your case involves the energy sector, see our DEEOIC, Energy Workers page. For respiratory-specific workups, our Pulmonology page outlines the same-day PFT pathway most federal patients use.
Insurance and access
We accept OWCP and most major insurance plans for non federal services. Humana and HPN are not accepted at this time. Telehealth follow ups are available for established federal patients when clinically appropriate. Se habla español.
